Background:
I grew up in the Midwest, Iowa and South Dakota, and graduated from Iowa State University in 1993. After college I wanted to move west and enjoy the Rocky Mountains and moved to Boise, Idaho, site unseen in 1993.
I started my career in public accounting and worked for 3 years in local accounting firms in both Pendleton, Oregon and Sun Valley, Idaho. The year I received my CPA license, I relocated back to Boise, Idaho and worked with Deloitte and Touche as a tax adviser until 2000.
In 2000, I graduated from Boise State University with my Masters in Taxation and started working for Idaho Power Company, subsidiary of IDACORP, as a tax research coordinator and then as a finance and tax analyst for IDACORP Energy in their energy trading/marketing subsidiary.
In 2003, IDACORP exited the energy trading industry and closed IDACORP Energy and that was the start of me being my own boss and have been doing accounting and CFO consulting ever since.
In 2006, Moved to Bend, Oregon and did consulting under ProCFO out of my home.
In 2009, ProCFO moved to new location at 235 SE Yew Lane, Ste 210, Bend OR.
