Meet Our Team

James Jans, CPA

President & Founder

James is your genuinely friendly and highly experienced chief financial strategist and owner of ProCFO. He has been a CPA for eighteen years and counting. After finishing his MBA at the University of Washington, he began his career in Boise, Idaho working at Deloitte & Touche, Idaho Power Company, and IDACORP Energy. When IDACORP exited the energy trading industry, James decided it was time to become his own boss.

Thinking back on a case study he completed in college about Accenture’s outsourcing of BP Amoco’s financial department, he immediately felt that community businesses had an even higher need for the same financial services. Because business owners need to focus on what they do best, James knew he could give them the perfect solution and act as their complete financial team, and thus ProCFO was born.

Since 2007, James and his team have been serving clients through ProCFO with personalized accounting and complete financial outsourcing. ProCFO’s services have assisted numerous businesses and individuals achieve their goals.

James is a devoted family man who is kept on his toes with his children's school and sports activities. He also loves skiing and a bit of globe-trotting (when it’s not tax season, of course).
